Run Preview - SD Tri Classic

Come out for a course preview of the 2011 San Diego Triathlon Classic run course on Thursday, September 1st at 6:00pm. Meet at the race transition area at the intersection of Cushing and Farragut Rd. ready to run! Choose 1 lap or 2 (5k or 10k) and run at your own pace. We'll have a Q&A session before the run.

Oregon State Champ - Criterium & Mountain Bike!!

Congrats to Moment Race Team rider Chris Roots on his recent string of great races up in his home state of Oregon this summer! He managed to hold a breakaway in the State Criterium Championships in the Men's Cat 4 and the following weekend he pulled out another amazing win at the State Mountain Bike Championships for Men's Cat 2!!

Congrats to shop employee Rachel Wills on her Cat 3/4 outright win in the 2011 State Elite Criterium Championships in Brentwood on Sunday!

"It was a perfect race for me. I stayed near the front for the majority of the race, controlling the pace and working the corners. Brentwood is a pretty technical course with lots of fun corners, so staying near the front is crucial for staying fresh and avoiding the accordion effect."

With a pretty major crash with a lap and a half left, she managed to avoid going down but had her work cut out for her to bridge the gap between the girls off the front.

"As soon as I caught the pack we had a lap left. I had to sit in and recover so I could be there at the end. We rounded the last corner and I was ready, sitting 6 back, and waiting. No one went and I thought it was already too late, but I punched it to the inside and didn't look back."

The race was scored separately for the cat 3 and cat 4 racers, so with the win, she is now eligible for the upgrade.

Bike Maintenance Clinic #4 - Pack and Ship

Come out for our ongoing monthly bike clinic on Saturday, August 13th at 1:00pm! We are at number 4 in the series. We'll learn the basics of packing and shipping your bike safely and a couple tips on how to limit or avoid the gashing airline fees. We'll cover what to pack and what not to pack when traveling with your bike.

Haven't been to a clinic yet? Don't worry, we'll still go over the basics for the newer rider (or the rider who has never changed a flat!)
