New Bikes - Lisa

Lisa came to the shop looking for a great fitting carbon bike with a good gruppo. After JT went through the fit process with her, she ended up with the beautiful Felt ZW5 with Shimano 105 components. Lisa says, "So far, the bike feels like a very natural extension of myself." That is the goal, and we hope you enjoy it for many more miles!

MCS Bike Handling Skills Clinic

Today, the Moment Cycle Sport race team had a bike handling skills clinic at Mission Beach. Brian Wilson started the group out with a little stretching. He then moved into skills on the grass, including no handed riding, close proximity riding, and making contact with others around you. Visual skills were practiced by looking behind you and in both directions. He then moved the group to Fiesta Island for paceline work. For more information on our race team email info@momentcyclesport.com and reference the MCS Race team.

New Bikes - Mike, Kerry & Kevin

Three new Parlee bikes have recently left the shop in the happy hands of three new owners. Mike came to the shop with weight and style in mind. He was a owner of an aluminum bike with a lot of nice parts. He finally decided to swap out frames to really get the weight of the bike down. And he ended up with one nice Parlee Z5. Outfitted with Dura Ace 7900, 3T stem, bars and seatpost with a Fi'zi:k saddle and finished off with a set of Reynolds Assult carbon clinchers.
Kerry purchased the Z5 with the Sram Red gruppo outfitted with Edge carbon bars, stem and seatpost and a Fi'zi:k saddle. He and Mike are some of the first owners of Parlee's newest edition to their line. This bike is still in the preliminary production stages and only a handful of them are available!
Kevin, one of Cory's buddies from Madison, Wisconsin, purchased a Parlee Z4 frame with Ghost decals. He built it up with some of his existing Campy Record parts. Weighing in at a little over 15lbs on his somewhat inaccurate bathroom scale, he's happy with his build.
We hope you all enjoy your beautiful rides!

New Bikes - Vickie

Vickie came to the shop as an existing owner of a custom Guru Crono triathlon bike, painted light blue and black. This time she was in for a road bike. A Guru Geneo. Light blue and white. Fully custom. After her fit, JT designed her bike and realized the standard 700cc wheel size of the Geneo wasn't going to work. He made Guru design a 650cc wheel bike.

This is a first edition 650cc wheel Geneo. He had to send out a different fork with the proper rake (angle of the fork) to Guru for paint to prevent toe overlap. She went with the Sram Force gruppo. Her wheels are special 650cc Velocity black rims with blue anodized nipples, and a Power Tap rear hub. She also has matching blue anodized skewers (and blue cable end caps!). Seriously, this bike is sick.

Vickie is now the owner of two amazing custom Guru bikes. She is one lucky woman. We hope you enjoy your new ride, Vickie!
