MCS Race Team Wins!

MCS Racers were in continued action this weekend at the Barrio Logan Criterium in San Diego. It was a nice overcast day which led to cool temps and only a slight wind.

The MCS Ladies had a dominating race as Rachel, Lynne and Amanda were controling the field and working together as team. Rachel managed to out sprint the SDBC rider and take the win, as Lynne was blocked in on the final turn but still managed 4th. Amanda finished with the pack.

In the Men's 4 and 3/4 races Chris R. was a major player in the race, going on breaks up front. He helped the eventual race winner and he was caught by the pack in both races near the finish and ended up 12h and 14th with 2 solid performances, not to mention a 60 mile ride in between the two races. His ride time on the day? Just over 5 hours, and 90+ miles. Dean rode with the pack and finished, while Kyle crashed out.

2 weeks ago, Rachel again podiumed in the Women's 4 race at the Chuck Pontius crit in Valencia. Chris R. and Kyle finished with the pack (and had some fun off the front).
